An Afrotropical species whose females and the undescribed nymph have been found on Rodentia : Muridae , and Soricomorpha : Soricidae ; females alone have been collected from Rodentia : Nesomyidae , and Macroscelidea : Macroscelididae . There are no records of Ixodes rhabdomysae causing human parasitism.
