A Nearctic species whose adults are usually found on Lagomorpha : Ochotonidae ; larvae and nymphs are commonly recovered from Ochotonidae , and Rodentia : Cricetidae . All parasitic stages have been recovered from Lagomorpha : Ochotonidae , and Rodentia : Cricetidae ; adults and larvae have been collected from Rodentia : Sciuridae , while nymphs alone have been taken from Rodentia : Geomyidae . There are no records of Ixodes ochotonae causing human parasitism.
