Notes

One specimen confirmed by DNA barcoding: the match with reference sequences is between 100% and 99.84% (mean: 99.96%). All specimens were collecting pollen on Pimpinella major in a hay meadow. Previously recorded in Italy in Trentino-Alto Adige ( Schmid-Egger 2005) and in the Maritime Alps of Piemonte ( Schmid-Egger 2011). The occurrence of the species in these two regions and, more specifically, in the Ligurian Alps, is mentioned also by Stoeckhert (1942). A. alutacea has recently been found to occur, or have occurred, also on Mount Etna in Sicilia ( Wood et al. 2023).
