Diagnosis. The forewing length is 18 mm in males and 19 mm in females. The detailed comparison of P. khumbuensis and P. pateikkaya is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Distribution and bionomics. The species is known from Nepal ( Owada 1981; Yoshimoto 1993; 1994). Polymixis khumbuensis is one of the frequent or even common autumn noctuid species in the monsoon forest belt at altitudes of 2000–2500 m.
