Maruca vitrata (Fabricius, 1787) View in CoL View at ENA
( Figs 14F View FIGURE 14 , 17A‒C View FIGURE 17 )
Material examined. Sistân and Baluchestân Prov.: 1 ♀, Nikshahr, Sahm, 490 m, 10.xi.1996, Barâri, Sarafrâzi, Parchami-Arâghi leg. (gen. prep. HA-1358, HMIM) .
Distribution. Native in tropics and subtropics. It is also reported from Eastern Palaearctic and imported to Europe ( Denmark, England, S France) ( Slamka 2013).
Remarks. In the single examined male, the fibulae are not curved and almost sickle-shaped as it is figured in Slamka (2013: 181), but are nearly triangular with blunt tips ( Fig. 17A View FIGURE 17 ). Additionally, the shape of the cornutus is different from that shown by Slamka (2013) ( Fig. 17B, C View FIGURE 17 ). Genitalia probably show intraspecific variability. The genus and species are newly reported for the fauna of Iran.
