Type Locality: Panama, Canal Zone.

Vernacular Names: Geoffroy's Tamarin.

Synonyms: Saguinus salaguiensis (Elliot 1912) ; Saguinus spixii (Reichenbach 1862) .

Distribution: SE Costa Rica to NW Colombia.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; IUCN – Least Concern.

Discussion: S. oedipus species group. Distinct from S. oedipus ; see Natori (1988).
