Speleognathopsis onychongathi, Fain 1985a: 146 . Holotype in RMCA, examined. Type host: Onychognathus walleri elgonensis (Sharpe) View in CoL ( Passeriformes View in CoL : Sturnidae View in CoL ) from Rwanda.
Diagnosis. Palp tarsus with 3 setae (2 ventral Bd- and BNe-type, 1 dorsal Bb-type), solenidion present; palp tibia without setae. Hypostomal setae Bd-type. Setae ve situated anterior to level of sensillae si. Genital series with 3 pairs of setae. Setae 1a, 3a and 4a present. Number of leg setae: coxae 2–0–1–0, femora 7–4–3–3.
Host and distribution. Passeriformes (Sturnidae) : OnychOgnathus walleri elgOnensis (Sharpe) from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Butare] ( Fain 1964a).
