Type Locality: Australia, Western Australia, King Georges Sound, King River (near Albany).
Vernacular Names: Southern Forest Bat.
Distribution: SW and SE Australia, including Tasmania.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc) as Eptesicus regulus .
Discussion: pumilus species group. See McKean et al. (1978), Kitchener et al. (1987), and Queale (1997).
