TYPE LOCALITY: Germany .

DISTRIBUTION: Ireland and Scandinavia to N China, south to Morocco, Iran, NW Himalayas, and S China.

SYNONYMS: aurascens, aureus, bulgaricus, collaris, davidi, hajastanicus , humeralis , kukunoriensis, lugubris, meinertzhageni, nigrofuscus, nipalensis , pamirensis, przewalskii, rufofuscus, schinzii, schrankii, sogdianus, transcaspicus.

COMMENTS: Subgenus Selysius . Reviewed by Strelkov (1983).
