DISTRIBUTION: Guinea to Ethiopia, south to South Africa; Madagascar.

SYNONYMS: damarensis , garambae , gracilior, grandidieri , matroka , nkatiensis, notius .

COMMENTS: Subgenus Neoromicia . Includes notius ; see Koopman (19756:405).
