The male has the head and abdomen black and shining; the thorax biood-red; the inner margin of the eyes notched; the vertex strongly punctate-striate. The thorax strongly punctured; the metathorax with larger and more distant punctures; the tegulae red; the wings fuscohyaline. Abdomen rather distantly punctured; the apical margin of the second and third segments thickly fringed with white pubescence; the following segments fringed with black.

Hab. Makassar.

The sexes of this species were taken in coitu.
