Distribution in Colombia: Vichada: Natural National Park El Tuparro (5.3623; -67.8593) ( Luna-Sarmiento & Romero-Ortiz 2011 as Geogarypus sp.)

Remarks: Collection data as in label: 72 masl; 12–23-mar-2011; David Luna and Catalina Romero leg; in varzea forest under tree bark. The specimen was part of an unpublished study on Pseudoscorpiones of the National Natural Park el Tuparro conducted by the collectors. Geogarypus is a widely distributed genus and G. amazonicus has only been recorded from the Brazilian Amazon. The specimen was collected in the Orinoco region and represents a range extension of distribution about 1300 km in a different ecosystem.
