Type Locality: Kenya, "Camp 18, western slope of Mt. Kenya, 2,600 m ".

Vernacular Names: Smoky White-toothed Shrew.

Synonyms: Crocidura alchemillae Heller 1910 .

Distribution: Mt. Kenya and Aberdare Range ( Kenya).

Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.

Discussion: Dippenaar and Meester (1989) revised the species.
