Diagnosis. – Dolichopodinae with veins R 4+5 and M straight and running almost parallel, usually slightly converging apically. Pteropleuron without hairs i.e. no hairs in front of the posterior thoracic spiracle. Fifth pair of dc not or rarely slightly convergent.
