Plant with the indumentum ± arachnoid, specially on the involucre. Achenes glabrous or nearly so.

Iconography: — Nordenstam (1989b: tab. 42).

Distribution and habitat: — Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan; rocky slopes, screes, steppes, grassy open slopes; elevations of 2400–4300 m ( Figure 31 View FIGURE 31 ).

Phenology: — Flowering from May to August.

Discussion: — Its glabrous achenes are a distinctive character among the Crociseris species of Central Asia.
