Distribution and remarks: distributed from Senegal to Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cape Verde Islands, and islands of the Gulf of Guinea and collected from lower courses of several rivers in Lower Guinea ( Schliewen, 2011) and from Lake Onangue, lower Ogowe and Nyanga in Gabon (Fermon, pers. obs.).
