Syn.: Gnesioceridae Faubel, 1983
Diagnosis (according to Faubel, 1983): Leptoplanoidea with elongate, slender, or egg-shaped body. Pharynx ruffled, submedian. Gonopores separate. Male copulatory apparatus directed backwards, and enclosed into a massive cirrus bulb; prostatic vesicle interpolated; glandular lining transversely ridged. The cirrus is armed with numerous spines or provided with a sclerotized lining. Usually, the glands of the prostatic vesicle are extravesicular.
