Diastylis adaioacanthus has a relatively longer, acute pseudorostrum and larger spines on the carapace, pereon and pleon than D. acuminata . Diastylis acanthoelachys has a longer pereopod 1, with the basis ischium merus together shorter than the carpus propodus and dactylus together.
