Genus Gephyrellula Strand, 1932 View in CoL View at ENA

Gephyrella Mello-Leitão, 1918: 121 (type species: G. violacea Mello-Leitão , by monotypy). Mello-Leitão 1929: 107. Gephyrellula Strand, 1932: 137 View in CoL (replacement name for Gephyrella Mello-Leitão , preoccupied in Lepidoptera View in CoL ).

Diagnosis. Philodromid spiders with enlarged AME; elongated leg II; prosoma wider than long; clypeus low ( Table 1); leg formula 2134; spination of legs I–II: tibia ventral 2-2-0, pro- and retrolateral 0-1-1, metatarsus ventral 2-2-0, pro- and retrolateral 0-1-1; male palps with short, hook-shaped CoP ( Figs 8 View FIGURES 6–9 , 11 View FIGURES 10–14 , 20 View FIGURES 19–23 ); female vulva with GH with long ducts ( Figs 14 View FIGURES 10–14 , 23 View FIGURES 19–23 ). Gephyrellula Strand belongs to the Ebo -like Philodromidae (sensu Muster 2009b) due to the eye configuration (AME larger than the other eyes and medians of both rows closer to laterals than to each other) and elongated leg II. They can be distinguished from Rhysodromus Schick, 1965 and Halodromus Muster, 2009b by lacking leg scopula, longer leg II and lower clypeus height (see Table 1); from Ebo Keyserling, 1884 by the presence of lateral spines on tibiae and metatarsi I–II (absent in Ebo ) and male palps with well-developed VTA and RTA (VTA indistinct and RTA weakly sclerotized in Ebo ); from Titanebo Gertsch, 1933 by the male palps with short, hook shaped CoP (absent in Titanebo ) and lower clypeus height (see Table 1).
