Remarks. A widespread species known from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Maranh„o), and Bolivia (Santa Cruz). It was originally described by Zajciw (1965) in the genus Mielkea Zajciw, 1965 .
Material examined. GUATEMALA (new country record), Zacapa: San Lorenzo Road , NNE of Ojo de Agua, 737m, 1 male, 1 June 2022, light trap, R. Zack & J. Monzon leg. ( WSU) .
