( Figure 37 View Figure 37 (i-l))
Diagnosis. separated from other in the group by the following combined characters: males pronotum central emargination on anterior portion; males cephalic carina inserted both eyesı transversal with acute apex (similar to D. aielloae and D. asenjoi ); elytral striae and puncture deeply impressed; males paramera lacking basal and longitudinal excavations and paramera subgenital plate taking 1/5 of the ventral surface.
● HOLOTYPE (male): BRASIL: Pará. Monte Dourado. 0³60 ʹ 20 ʹ ’ Sı 52³59 ʹ 07 ” W. Fezes . iv- 2006. T Gardner & MIM Hernandéz [at CEMT].

Description (Holotypeı male). BL: 17 mmı PW: 9 mm. Colour: blackı shiny. Head: fronto-clypealı genal and inter-ocular surfaces smooth. Few weakly impressed fine punctures near eyes. clypeo-genal angle roundedı obtuse (100³). Cephalic carina longer than wideı conical with rounded apex. Pronotum: disc shinyı with central emargination – same width as interocular space. Posterior margin with a row of ocellate punctures. Metasternum: sides and margins of anterior lobe covered by long hair. Anterior portion of anterior lobe with ocellate setigerous punctures. Setigerous punctures equally spaced at sides. Elytra: striae deeply impressed having coarse punctures spaced by their diameter. Interstriae convexı disc lacking microsculpture with very fine punctures (20 x). Abdomen: ventrites with ocellate punctures concentrate at sides. Puncture of each ventrite interrupted medially as well as groove along the posterior margin of sixth ventrite. Aedeagus ( Figure 37 View Figure 37 (j-l)): dorsallyı paramere apexes roundedı convergent; longitudinal and basal excavations lacking; membranous part taking half of dorsal surface. Laterallyı subtle declivity from basis towards apex; lacking central excavation. Ventrallyı subgenital plate with rounded apexes and taking 1/5 of ventral surface.
Morphological variation. male BL is 17 mmı PW: 9 – 10 mm. Female BL: 16 mmı PW: 11 mmı distinguished from males as follows: Head: fronto-clypeal surface striated. Surface posterior to cephalic carina smooth. Cephalic carina transversalı with straight apex. Pronotum: simply convexı lacking lobes. Elytra: striae weakly impressedı punctures separated by twice their diameter. Blue sheen present near basis. Abdomen: sixth ventrite bearing a pair of tubercles on central portion.
Distribution. Brazilı state of Pará ( Figure 34 View Figure 34 ).
Etymology. named after Toby Gardner (Stockholm Environment Institute)ı who collected the type series.
