Diagnosis.
The subgenus Loxocera Loxocera can be recognized by the following combination of character states: frontal vitta desclerotized, dull, velvety; lunule sclerotized, broadly exposed between antennal base and anterior margin of frons; fore wing with alula glabrous except margin; hind femur with a subapical patch of microtomentum on ventral surface; male sternite 8 broadly exposed and setulose, fused to tergite 6 and epandrium; female tergite 10 and cerci separated.
