Figs 1 View FIGURE 1 , 25–27 View FIGURES 25–34. 25–27
Anahita fauna Karsch 1879: 99 View in CoL , pl. I, fig. 18 (description of female; 2 female syntypes, Japan, Hilgendorf leg., ZMB 2890 View Materials ; not examined).
Note. According to Ono (in litt.) the type locality should be in the vicinity of Tokyo, since Hilgendorf collected the female type (s). Material listed sub A. fauna View in CoL by Song et al. (2001: 365) and Zhu & Zhang (2011: 412) does not seem to be conspecific with A. fauna View in CoL from Japan. See also note sub A. jinsi View in CoL spec. nov.
Material examined. 1 female ( SMF 56476), Japan, Mie Prefecture, Tsu-shi , Katadatanaka-cho, K. Kumada leg. 9.VIII.2005, K. Kumada det., Ono ded. 2006 . 1 female, 2 subadult females (partly with epigyne developed
Diagnosis. Small Ctenidae (total length female 9.0). See diagnosis of A. jinsi spec. nov.
Redescription. Female. PL 3.9, PW 3.1, AW 1.7, OL 5.1, OW 2.8 (epigyne and vulva Figs 25–27 View FIGURES 25–34. 25–27 ). For further details and description of male see Karsch (1879) and Yoshida (2009).
Distribution. Known from Japan, Korea and China ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 : 5–6).
Note. The previously presumed wide distribution should be checked with dissected female copulatory organs, since the external features of epigynes do not seem to be significant for differentiating between species.
