Ctenus jucundus Thorell 1897: 17 (description of female; holotype examined).
Type material. Holotype female ( MCSN), Burma, Bhamò [24°15'13.85"N, 97°14'3.23"E], Fea leg.
Diagnosis. Medium-sized Ctenidae (total length female 12.7). Compare differential diagnosis in A. feai (epigyne and vulva Figs 8–9 View FIGURES 8–13. 8–10 , 19 View FIGURES 14–24. 14–15 ). Distinguished from all other Anahita species treated in this paper by the elongated opisthosoma ( Figs 16–18 View FIGURES 14–24. 14–15 ).
Redescription. Female. PL 4.3, PW 3.6, AW 1.9, OL 8.5, OW 2.8.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality (Bhamò in Burma) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 : 3).
Note. The same reasoning listed before is applied for the transfer to Anahita , i.e. similarity of female copulatory organ. However, the distinctly elongated opisthosoma and the different colour pattern could indicate that this species belongs to a different phylogenetic lineage (genus). Similar cases are known in the genus Heteropoda : H. ocyalina ( Simon 1887) and H. boiei (Doleschall 1859) exhibit an elongated opisthosoma whereas the majority of the species of Heteropoda Latreille 1804 shows oval opisthosomata; however, because of the similarity of their copulatory organs these Heteropoda species were considered congeneric ( Jäger & Bayer 2009).
