Variability. The species is known only from females. See also Remarks.

Diagnosis. Agrilus jankae sp. nov. is easily distinguishable within the genus. It resembles species from the A. angulatus species–group by having similar elytral pubescence. The new species is distinctive with very short antennae, only reaching the anterior pronotal angles, by the obviously elongate pronotum with a deep medial sulcus, by the lack of prehumerus, and by the short tarsi.
