Distribution in Iran. Qazvin ( Zarnegar 2014), West Azarbaijan ( Karimpour et al. 2008), Iran (no locality cited) ( Abbaszadeh 2012 as B. plagiatus ).

General distribution. Greece, Italy, European part of southern Russia , southern Ukraine, Cyprus, Turkey, the Middle East.

Host records. Astragalus caryolobus Bunge ( Karimpour et al. 2008) , Astragalus brachystachys Podlech , A. ammodenderon C.A. Mey (Fabaceae) ( Zarnegar 2014).
