Lectotype (Irvine in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 37. 1993): Herb. Linn. No. 1293.9 ( LINN) .

Generitype of Corallina Linnaeus (vide Schmitz in Flora 72: 455. 1889).

Current name: Corallina officinalis L. ( Corallinaceae ).

Note: Although Manza (in Philippine J. Sci. 71: 275. 1940) referred to having seen photographs of "the Linnaean type" and (p. 276) that it was in BM, it is not clear what this might be.
