Distribution. Listed for Europe by Nieto et al. (2014). The species occurs in northern Africa and was assumed by several authors to be present also on Sicily and Malta. However, as the specimens from Sicily and Malta differ from mainland European individuals of Osmia (Helicosmia) aurulenta (Panzer, 1799) only by the length and colour of the body pilosity, they were assigned to the latter species by M̧ller (2022).
