Terellia tarbinskiorum View in CoL group of species
Diagnosis. Mesonotal scutum with 3 pairs of large shining black spots (see Figs 19–20 in: Korneyev 2006) at transverse suture and at bases of dorsocentral and prescutellar acrostichal setae (shared with Orellia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 , but species of the latter genus differ by the long triangular lobe on bcu cell and bulged glans of phallus). Wings with four distinct crossbands. All species of this group are associated with Echinops ( Asteraceae : Cardueae : Echinopsidinae).
