Local distribution and occurrence: Khor Al-Sabiyah (Al-Shumaima), Ras Al-Sabyiah, Al-Messilah beach, Ras Al-Zour, Al-Khiran, Al-Nuwaiseeb, Failaka Island, Qaruh Island, and Umm Al-Maradim Island; occasional (16%).

Habitat: Intertidal and subtidal zones; muddy sand, sand, rocks, dead corals, pebble mixture, shells, algae, sponges, and ropes.
