Current name: Quercus prinus L. ( Fagaceae ).

Note: This name has been applied to the two species more recently known as Q. montana Willd. and Q. michauxii Nutt., and Whittemore & Nixon (in Taxon 54: 213. 2005) therefore proposed Q. prinus for rejection.
