Notes
The species is recognised by the sooty black colours on the glabrous, often concentrically sulcate pileus. This is the first record of this species for Colombia.
Diagnosis
Basidiomes pileate, solitary, effused reflexed; upper surface glabrous, orange, becoming black, spreading from the base, with concentric zones, darkens with KOH; margin whitish and round (Fig. 2 View Figure 2 F). Pore surface light orange, shiny when turned in incident light, pores round to angular, 4-6 per mm, context concolorous to pore surface. Hyphal system trimitic, generative hyphae clamped, hyaline and thin-walled; skeletal hyphae abundant, yellow and thick-walled, binding hyphae present. Basidiospores ellipsoid, hyaline, smooth, negative in Melzer’s Reagent, 4.3-4.8 × 3.4-3.8 µm.
