Ctenus sinuatipes F.O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1897: 84 View in CoL , pl. 3, figs 1b, 4d, 6e, 7f (male lectotype and two female paralectotype from San José Province, Costa Rica, 1135 m.a.s.l., J.F. Tristan coll., deposited in BMNH 1896.3.20.26–29, examined). F.O. Pickard-Cambridge 1900: 112, pl. 8, figs 5–6; Petrunkevitch 1925: 160, fig. 81; Polotow & Brescovit 2014: 355, fig. 14A; World Spider Catalog 2018.
Diagnosis. Males of Kiekie sinuatipes ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 A–B) resemble those of K. sarapiqui ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 A–B) by the shape of the embolus and RTA, but can be distinguished by the elongated median apophysis and wider conductor. Females of Kiekie sinuatipes ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ) also resemble those of K. sarapiqui ( Fig. 8C View FIGURE 8 ), but can be distinguished by the shape of the epigynum, with shorter median field and slender lateral projection of the lateral fields. Internally, the copulatory ducts of Kiekie sinuatipes ( Fig. 5D View FIGURE 5 ) exhibit a twist, not covering the spermathecae, while in K. sarapiqui (Fig. 9D) the copulatory ducts fold over itself before it enters the spermathecae.
