Diagnosis. This new species is superficially similar to E. crayella Robinson, 2008 by the forewing having a faint darker dot at the end of the cell, but can be differentiated from each other by the genitalia characters. In the new species, the triangular valva has a clubbed basal flange, and the aedeagus is bifurcate apically in the male genitalia; and the eighth sternite is specialized into two parts in the female genitalia. In E. crayella , the broad crescent-shaped valva has a large, triangular basal flange, and the aedeagus is not bifurcate; and the eighth sternite is not specialized into two parts.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 28 − 35 ). Wingspan 11.5−18.0 mm. Head dull orange yellow. Antenna 0.8× length of forewing; scape light orange yellow, with a few brownish pecten bristles; flagellum unicolorous, bright yellowish. Labial palpus yellowish brown mixed with darker scales on inner surface, blackish brown on outer surface. Thorax and tegula ferruginous brown. Forewing index 0.32−0.35, yellowish brown, individual scales dark tipped, with a faint darker dot at end of cell; retinaculum present; cilia grayish brown, with dark-tipped scales. Hindwing grayish brown; male with a single short, slender, evenly curved frenular bristle, female with two slender bristles, shorter one 0.75× length of longer one; cilia grayish brown. Fore leg dark brown; mid leg yellowish brown mixed with dark brown; hind leg yellowish brown, tarsus with scattered darker scales.

Pregenital abdomen. First tergum with posterior 2/3 sclerotized. In male, coremata present in eighth segment; eighth sternite 0.25× as long as wide, without caudal process; eighth tergite trapezoidal, without caudal process. In female, seventh sternite semicircularly concave at middle on posterior margin.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 65 View FIGURES 65 − 67 ). Vinculum with anterior and posterior margins straight, parallel, medial process on ventrocaudal margin short, hillock-shaped, 0.25× length as depth of vinculum. Tegumen about 0.15× depth of vinculum, semicircularly concave on both anterior and posterior margins. Uncus with broad fan-shaped base interrupted by traces of uncus lobes, not forming a membraneous section with tegumen; uncus lobe 0.75× depth of vinculum, not twisted, broader and slightly bent ventrad towards apex, fused and laterally sclerotized in basal half, separated, membraneous, expanded and setose in distal half; sclerite absent between uncus lobes. Valva short, triangular, narrowed basally, broadened distally, melanized and bearing long setae dorso-apically, smooth and triangularly protruded ventral-apically; costal margin slightly sinuate, unmodified; basal flange large and stout, heavily sclerotized, melanized and clubbed, with long setae; ventral margin slightly convex in distal half, without ventral lobe; basal margin with inconspicuous ‘secondary apodeme’; inner surface unmodified. Juxta reflexed anteriorly along inner surface of vinculum, minute, 0.25× length of aedeagus. Aedeagus stout, 2.0× length of valva; apex bifurcate, dorsal lobe sword-shaped, with blunt apex, ventral lobe hooked at apex, triangular subapically. Bulbus ejaculatorius short, 1.5× length of aedeagus, expanded at base, not hypertrophied in subdistal and distal sections.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 87 View FIGURES 86 − 88 ). Ovipositor length 3.4−3.6 mm. Eighth tergite tapered anteriorly, slightly concave at middle on posterior margin, with sparse setae on posterior 1/4, microtrichiate from posterior 1/4 to middle. Eighth sternite highly specialized into two parts: posterior half represented by a pair of microtrichiate, rhombic sclerites, with sparse setae on posterior margin; anterior half a pair of subrounded sclerites, each bearing a shallow erect ridge medially, with sparse setae posteriorly. Ostium at middle of eighth sternite. Antrum absent; ductus bursae simple, as long as corpus bursae, moderate in width. Colliculum comprising a pair of band-shaped, spinose processes arising from posterior margin of corpus bursae, crossing second ring to posterior 1/4 of corpus bursae, broad and joined basally, tapered distally; second ring at posterior 1/5 of corpus bursae, very narrow and unmodified, in some specimens including the type with longitudinal striae adjacent to second ring anteriorly; inception of ductus seminalis dorsal, at margin of second ring. Corpus bursae ovate; signum absent.

Distribution. China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin bifurcatus, meaning bifurcate, referring to the bifurcate apex of the aedeagus.
