Discussion: Formerly included in Talpa by Corbet (1978 c); but see Imaizumi (1970 b), Gureev (1979), Yudin (1989), and Abe et al. (1991). Revised by Abe (1995). Nesoscaptor uchidai ( Abe et al., 1991) was included in Mogera by Motokawa et al. (2001 b).
