Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc) as Eptesicus finlaysoni .
Discussion: caurinus species group. Included in pumilus by Koopman (1993, 1994), but see Kitchener et al. (1987) and Queale (1997).
