Distribution: S Vietnam, Cambodia, S Laos, Thailand, S Yunnan ( China) to C Burma.

Discussion: For taxonomic history, see Moore and Tate (1965:294). Chromosomes described by Nadler and Hoffmann (1970). Corbet and Hill (1992) opined "Although there is considerable geographic variation...it is unlikely that discrete subspecies can be recognized.".
