Known distribution: Canindé (São Paulo, Brazil); in a small stagnant lake near Limão (São Paulo, Brazil) along the river Tietê ( Marcus 1946).
Material examined: None.
Diagnosis: Animals about 2–3 mm long, with a general body form resembling a smoothing iron. Visible eyes absent. Two types of zoochlorellae present, small round ones and long ones. Male copulatory organ probably of the duplex-type IIIA. The area where the vasa deferentia enter the seminal vesicle is ciliated. Female genital system of the TYPHLOPS - type. No connection with the gut. With a female genital canal, a small intestinal bursa and a duct that runs towards the gut and resembles the burso-intestinal duct of other species of Phaenocora .
