Description. Body covered with erect or semi-erect long hairs; underside with white or yellow pubescent marks. Antennal segments III–XI densely covered with fine pubescence; segments I and III similar in length. Pronotum coarsely punctate with pubescent bands behind apex and before base, the latter sometimes disappearing. Scutellum rounded or subtruncate posteriorly. Elytra very short, not covering abdomen; apex rounded. Hind tarsal segment I almost equal in length to segments II and III combined, though rarely a little longer than the latter ( Takakuwa, 1981).
