The morphological characters of the genus according to the description of Bailey (1980) are: Fastigium rounded and extending beyond antennal base, notch between fastigium and the frons closed, without basal and apical processes. Pronotum with lateral carinae, posterior invagination not strong. Tegmina elongate, not extending over tip of ovipositor. Ovipositor as long as the hind femur, straight.
