Species recognition. This is one of the most distinctive species of Dohrniphora , with its large body size, short R 2+3 vein ( Fig. 324), and overall dark brown color.

Description. Body length: 2.63–2.94 mm. Head: Frons dark brown, second row of setae straight. Flagellomere 1 rounded-oval, slightly pointed, dark brown. Palpus of normal size, dark brown. Thorax: Scutum dark brown. Scutellum dark brown, with 2 pairs of setae; anterior seta three-quarters length of posterior seta. Pleuron dark brown. Mean costal length 0.56 wing length. Halter dark brown. Legs dark brown, forelegs lighter. Forecoxa in lateral view dark brown. Foretibia with 6 dorsal setae. Foretarsomeres slender, elongate. Midcoxa dark brown. Hind coxa dark brown. Hind coxal lobe dark brown, elongate, narrow, posteriorly pointed. Posterior face of hind femur with basal group long, pointed, peglike setae and five smaller, more distal setulae; more distally with concavity followed by white membranous lobe ( Figs 261–262). Abdomen: Abdominal tergite 1 dark brown, tergites 2–6 dark brown. Venter of abdomen dark gray, with sparse setae. Male terminalia dark brown, cercus brown.

Distribution. Bolivia.

Derivation of specific epithet. Named for Dr. Martin Hauser, co-collector of the two known specimens.
