Synergus ishikarii Melika & Schwéger, 2015

Synergus ishikarii Melika & Schwéger in Schwéger et al. (2015a) . Zootaxa 3999 (4): 472. Type material: PHMBL (holotype), paratypes in PHMBL and USNM according to Schwéger et al. (2015a).

Material examined (11♂ & 14♀). Newly reared material deposited in UB with the following data: KOR: 13, Bo- ryeong Beach ( South Korea), Ex. asexual galls of Trichagalma acutissimae , Quercus sp., (17.iii.2018) 16–30.iv.2018, Roca-Cusachs leg: 10♂ & 13♀ ; KOR: 22, Daejeon, Chungnam National University campus ( South Korea), Ex. asexual galls of Trichagalma acutissimae , Quercus sp., (28.x.2017) xi.2017, Roca-Cusachs leg.: 1♂ & 1♀ .

Distribution. Japan (Hokkaidô island) ( Schwéger et al. 2015a). First record of this species for South Korea (this paper).

Biology. Reared from asexual leaf galls of Ussuraspis sp. and undescribed leaf galls on Q. dentata , and from other undescribed leaf galls on Q. mongolica ( Schwéger et al. 2015a) . The new material included in this paper was reared from asexual galls of Trichagalma acutissimae (Monzen, 1956) on Quercus sp.

Remarks. According to the original description, the female antennae are light brown, whereas male antennae are black or dark brown. Antennae of both females and males from the new material found in South Korea are yellowish. Since the rest of the morphological traits are identical to those presented in the original description, we are confident that the Korean specimens correspond to S. ishikarii .
