Type material: Holotype: one female. ECUADOR, Sebundoi [ COLOMBIA, Putumayo: Sibundoy, Valle de

Sibundoy, 2600m, 1.167221, –76.942039] LE Peña leg; 11–15 September 1977; AMNH (Examined).

Note: The type locality (‘ Ecuador, Sebundoi’) most likely refers to the Sibundoy Valley on the border between Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. ‘ Sebundoi’ is a recurrent locality in natural history works, mentioned in different entomological, botanical and anthropological studies. The Sibundoy valley is located in the Putumayo department in Colombia and comprises the municipalities of Sibundoy , Colón , Santiago and San Francisco .
