Eustrotia View in CoL OZARBICA Hampson, 1910
Catalogue of the Lepidoptera Phalaenae in the British Museum Vo l. 10. Catalogue of the Noctuidae in the collection of the British Museum. British Museum (Natural History), London, i–xix, 1–829 [602], pl. CLXVI: fig. 28. Current accepted combination: Pseudozarba ozarbica ( Hampson, 1910) (see Poole 1989).
Syntypes, male and female, pinned:
Specimen data: Specimen no.1474: “Syn | Type ” [Round, red-bordered label]. “Belgaum. | Watson Coll. | 97-193. | Aug 96 ”[Printed]. “ 1903-19 | 1474” [Printed]. Specimen no. 1209: “Syn | Type ” [Round, redbordered label]. “Belgaum. | Watson Coll. | 97-193. | Aug 96 ” [Printed]. “B.M. dupl. | 1912-53 | 1209” [Printed].
Remarks: These two specimens, donated to RSM by BM(NH) in 1903 & 1912 respectively, are without doubt part of the original syntype series, which included 33 & 3Ƥ collected by Watson at Belgaum, Madras ( Hampson, 1910). The species is illustrated in colour in Pl. CLXVI: fig. 28 ( Hampson, 1911). Poole (1989) erroneously suggests that the [holo] type is in the BM(NH).
