Tarache View in CoL FASCIALIS Hampson, 1894
The Fauna of British India, including Ceylon and Burma. Moths, Volume 2: 1–609 [315]. Current accepted combination: Emmelia fascialis ( Hampson, 1894) (see Poole 1989).
Syntype, male, pinned:
Specimen data: “Syn | Type ” [Round, red-bordered label]. “Gourias Valley | Sep.1887 | J.H.Leech Coll.” [Handwritten]. “Leech Coll. | 1901-173.” [Printed] “ 1903-19 | 1941.” [Printed].
Remarks: Originally described from specimens collected by Leech in the “Sind and Gurais Valleys, Kashmir” ( Hampson, 1894). This is one of those specimens and so is undoubtedly part of the syntype series passed to the RSM by the BM(NH) in 1903 as part of the BM(NH)’s Duplicated Dispersal Scheme.
