Label bearing justification of type status by M.J.W.Cock, 1997.

Remarks: This specimen collected by Sir N. Lamont at Guaico, Trinidad on 18th April 1915 is unambiguously the holotype. It is illustrated in colour in Pl. I: fig. 6 ( Kaye 1922, Kaye & Lamont 1927).
