Vertex nearly as long as width between eyes or somewhat longer ( Figs. 27 View FIGURE 27 A–E, 28A–D). Ocellus next to eye on anterior margin ( Fig. 28 View FIGURE 28 E). Eye relatively large ( Figs. 27 View FIGURE 27 A–E, 28A–E). Anteclypeus nearly parallel-sided, extending beyond normal curve of genae ( Figs. 27 View FIGURE 27 F, 28F). Pronotum median length nearly as long as median length of crown. Mesonotum and scutellum shorter than pronotum ( Figs. 27 View FIGURE 27 A–E, 28A–D). Distribution. Korea; China (Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Yunnan, Zhejiang).

Remarks. This species was described from the following specimens from Korea with the following data: “Holotype Ƌ, Whasan, IX 1974; allotype ♀, the same with holotype, and paratypes: 15Ƌ, 18♀, the same with holotype and allotype; Taegu, 1♀, 24, VII, 1971; Samsan near Taegu, 1♀, 15, VI, 1975.”. The types have not been examined and the identity of the species is based on the figures of Kwon & Lee (1979). This species is similar to S. dindorensis ( Pruthi, 1930: 38, plate III, 6 & 6a, text-fig. 51–53), but differs in having the male pygofer without macrosetae. This species is also similar to S. lahorensis (Distant) , but the latter has a longer and more acute vertex (see Khatri & Webb, 2010, Fig. 24 View FIGURE 24 .)
