This Neotropical genus of 12 known species is represented by one species in Ecuador of uncertain identity. The genus was described and treated in Machado (2009a).
Tuberculobasis sp. LR, Buena Fé: 1 ♀, Río Palenque Biological Sta. GoogleMaps , 47 km S of Santo Domingo de los Colorados, (-0.5500, -79.3667, 151m), 8 x 1988, leg. SWD, det. RWG [?]; 1 ♂, 1 ♀, same data but 9 x 1988, data provided by RWG. Adults have a green-striped thorax and orange-tipped abdomen ( Fig. 31 View FIGURE 31 ).
Note: Although Rosser Garrison examined these specimens, they could not be located at the time of publication to be re-studied.
