A monotypic genus of large, blue and green damseflies that from a distance resemble slender gomphids ( Fig. 42 View FIGURE 42 ). For identification see Dunkle (1991b). Adults perch on large leaves in sunny spots above flowing water. The wings flash multi-colored irridescence during flight. The nymphs live in root masses along the banks of small forested streams.
