Five of the eight species of Coryphaeschna occur in Ecuador. For identification, refer to Paulson (1994) and Tennessen (2001). These large dragonflies ( Fig. 62 View FIGURE 62 ) occupy shallow weedy ponds and slow reaches of streams, usually in forested areas.
